Jbay Baptist Church seeks to preach the word of God in love and gentleness to all people, to be a family model of Church.

Why We Exist?

Loving People

We believe God has called us to love all people of all walks of life (within both cultural and economic difference). We love through extending the grace and love he has shown us, we can only love because He first loved us. John 13: 35 "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another"

Making Disciples

God calls us to make disciples that will grow the kingdom through Jesus, for God’s glory. A disciple is someone that has been reconciled into a relationship with God through new birth by trust in the gospel and is growing in a love for God and love for others. "Matthew 28: 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

All for God’s Glory

Everything we do is for God’s Glory. It is all about Him. "Colossians 3: 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

What To Expect?

We are a family church, loving and open. The children church stay in the service for the first 10 minutes and then the Junior School teachers on duty will collect the children and go down to Junior Church. After the service, we have tea and coffee. As a visitor, we’d love to meet you and chat over a cup of coffee.

There are lots of parking spots close to all the main door and are clearly marked. Our facilities are wheelchair friendly.

When you arrive head towards the main door and someone will be on hand to greet you and give you some information regarding the Sunday service. We’re not going to call you up to the front or ask you to stand so do not fear.

Worship

Our service includes Bible reading, praying, giving, preaching, communion and singing. We sing traditional and modern hymns as well as contemporary worship songs. We have a keyboard, guitarists and a team of vocalists.

Dress

We’re relaxed. . The preacher wears chinos or jeans and a button-up or golf shirt. You can come as you are.

Atmosphere

Our worship is joy-filled, our preaching Gospel-centered. We’re a friendly, comfortable and diverse community.

Small Groups

Church is more than just meeting on a Sunday

We believe that Small Groups are an important part of Church as we grow together in community and do life with one another. Small Groups are a great place to get to know people in our Church and to journey together as we study God’s Word together.

Currently our groups are not all meeting due to covid restrictions. Please contract Pastor Bradley to find out about groups

Giving

Why Give?

The stewardship of our finances is a tremendous—and often overlooked—area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel. Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.
